a simple inexpensive child Birthday Theme

A simple inexpensive way to celebrate your Children s Birthday.

Some parents will have catered events, rent a room and others will simply have the party at their home. Have a party at your home and give it a theme. Its easy and inexpensive, especially when the party follows a huge blizzard and some people may not be able to make it. This year for our sons first birthday we created a "nautical theme". See all the Photos for this theme here

ALL PHOTOS FROM PARTY THEME

Total Cost: included Cost of Paper Goods and Cake, which came to about $87
You can do much of the work yourself and it doesn't take a very creative person. Get ideas online or from friends. We purchased some of the paper goods from Oriental Trading

The Nautical Theme cake cost $37 and very tasty and easy to order from our local Stop and Shop. You can visit The Bake Shop

Really, Happy New Year? or Maybe not

Happy New Year!? People seem to get very excited about the "New Years”. I really don’t quite get it because to me everyday is a “new” opportunity to achieve greatness. I understand it is an opportunity to spend time with family and friends. I spent many New Years up in the mountains of Maine snowboarding with my husband and friends. Since having children (2.5 yrs old and 1 year) we stay local, order in and watch a children’s movie and well write blogs once the kids go to bed. I suppose I could use this time to reflect on the past year but reflecting is something I practice daily. I don’t require a change in the year to make me go back and think about how my year went. It is important to constantly be reflecting and learning from previous actions. So yes, “Happy New Year”!
